Advanced Tactics Gold

Advanced Tactics Gold (ATG) is a sandbox wargame, in some sense, is the mix of a wargame (hex and counter) and a 4x, in the sense that it allows random scenarios and factions and a start similar like a classic 4X where you start from scratch and you have to EXPLORE; because the map starts unexplored, EXPAND; your cities, armies and production, EXPLOIT; natural resources and other factions weakness and EXTERMINATE; all the enemies of the motherland.  It's made by a single dude called Vic, the same developer of Shadow Empires, or Decisive Campaigns WW2. This is basically proto-Shadow Empires, because offers all the basics that later will be on SE, is basically SE lite. A 2005/2011 game that is still updated up to this day. Also, this wargame is know for being easy to play, unlike the monster that is SE.
